Sean McVay became the youngest head coach of the National Football League’s modern era when the Los Angeles Rams hired him in January to turn around the franchise. Known throughout the league as an offensive mastermind, McVay has turned around the Rams’ attack. A unit that finished near the bottom of the league is almost every offensive category last year is now the NFL’s highest-scoring team. McVay has been a media darling so there have been some fantastic pieces written already this year (see “More on McVay”), but the one featured below is my favorite.
“We’re focused on daily improvement and daily excellence,” McVay says. “If you’re going to ask your players to do that, I think it’s important for you to personify those core beliefs. And if you’re not really living those things? I think people can feel that.”
