Inside URI’s Recruiting

Good look at URI Basketball’s recruiting approach under head coach Danny Hurley. Interesting stuff regarding dealing with kids’ different decision-making timelines.

“You can’t be great at both during the season months,” Hurley said this week. “You struggle in early signing period and it effectively takes the head coach out of the equation for a couple months in terms of being able to leave campus. Or, you’re doing it on off days, on a Sunday, where you can’t necessarily get to all the places you need to get to.”
