Good article on Dwyane Wade’s tutelage of Heat rookie Justise Winslow. Really cool how Wade is encouraging Winslow to embrace his post-up game earlier in his career than Wade did. Great stuff on not only some technical aspects of post-play, but also the role veterans play in the mentoring of talented young players in the NBA.
“All of us are where we’re at because someone before has helped us, whether it’s they helped us by us sitting down watching film with them, or whether we were able to have conversations and talk to them about a lot of things,” Wade said. “So I was just telling him some of the things that I’m still learning, even as 33 years old.”
