Best Sets – NCAA Tournament Day 1

Great job here by Buffalo’s Nate Oats attacking a matchup. What’s great is that the guy being attacked is the adds-on favorite to be the #1 pick in the NBA draft this coming June. It’s a lesson in coaching though: there’s an advantage somewhere. Oats knew the 7-1/260 DeAndre Ayton would struggle to keep 6-7/176 Jeremy Harris in front out on the perimeter. Tremendous job by Buffalo’s coaching staff. Here’s the Iverson set they kept running to get to Harris’ left hand.

Houston’s Kelvin Sampson is the most underrated coach in the country in my opinion. Great “Hammer” set here from his Cougars to start the second half.

Nice “Crack Back” action here from Kevin Willard. Seton Hall gets 2 free throws from Myles Powell off this set that’s a common NBA action.

Below is a set Kansas runs to get a duck-in for Udoka Azubuike, but Penn does a nice job taking it away.
